Landes
FAA certified Airplane and Engine mechanic, started company
in 1954, company has been at the same location and phone
number since founding. Served on Guam and Tinian in the
Pacific during World War II. Has designed skis for most
light airplanes and helicopters. Wes has been the lead
design engineer since the founding of the company. Airglas
has received 4 Patents and 50+ Supplemental Type
Certificates under his lead. He is still working with the
company and doesn't intend to retire. A list of helicopter
skis that he has designed, built and certified are the Bell
UH-1 series, Vertol H-21, Boeing CH47, Bell OH58, Bell 209
(Cobra), Eurocopter SA 318C, Eurocopter SA 341G, Eurocopter
AS350 (A star), AS355 (Twin star), Bell 206A & B

Christopher E. Donnelly
FAA certified Airframe & Powerplant mechanic with an Inspection Authorization. Chris is also an FAA Designated Manufacturing Inspection Representative “DMIR”. Chris came to Alaska in 1964 and started apprenticing as a mechanic in 1978, initially working and learning the aviation trade under his father's tutelage. Chris started working for Airglas in 2003 in the Design and Development department to assist in the completion of the Apache helicopter ski and the LH4000 hydraulic ski projects. Chris works closely with the FAA Aircraft Certification Office to get new products certified, and continues to design and develop products for Airglas with the help of the Airglas team. Chris grew up in Alaska and intends to stay in Alaska and raise his family here.
