Landes
FAA certified Airplane and Engine mechanic, started company
in 1954, company has been at the same location and phone
number since founding. Served on Guam and Tinian in the
Pacific during World War II. Has designed skis for most
light airplanes and helicopters. Wes has been the lead
design engineer since the founding of the company. Airglas
has received 4 Patents and 50+ Supplemental Type
Certificates under his lead. He is still working with the
company and doesn't intend to retire. A list of helicopter
skis that he has designed, built and certified are the Bell
UH-1 series, Vertol H-21, Boeing CH47, Bell OH58, Bell 209
(Cobra), Eurocopter SA 318C, Eurocopter SA 341G, Eurocopter
AS350 (A star), AS355 (Twin star), Bell 206A & B
(Jetranger), Bell 206L series (Longranger), Bell 412, Bell
430, Boeing McDonnell-Douglas Hughes 500C, D, E, F, 530F,
Eurocopter Boelkow BO 105 LS A-3, Sikorksy S-76, Sikorsky
S-55, Sikorsky UH-60 (Blackhawk), Boeing AH-64D (Apache),
Bell 427, Bell OH-58D (Kiowa). FAA

Christopher E. Donnelly
FAA certified Airframe and Powerplant mechanic with an
Inspection Authorization. Chris is also working towards
aquiring his DMIR rating for the company very soon. Chris
has worked as a mechanic for 29 years and was raised in
Alaska, initially working and learning the aviation trade
under his father's tutelage. ("I bucked my first rivet at
age 12") Chris started at Airglas in 2003 in the Design and
Development department to assist in the completion of the
Apache helicopter ski project and the LH4000 hydraulic ski
project. Chris intends to stay in Alaska and raise his
family here.
